He has also served on the board of managers of the Intellectual Property Law Association of Chicago and as chair of the Chicago Bar Association’s Computer Law Committee. His articles on e-commerce and privacy have appeared in the ABA Business Law Journal, Illinois Bar Journal, Chicago Law Bulletin, Illinois legal Times, and Marketing News. He has authored a chapter on copyrights for the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Educattion.

He has masters of law degrees cum laude in both Intellectual Property and Information Technology and Privacy Law. Cheryl Dancey Balough serves on the board of managers of the Intellectual Property Law Association and on the executive committee of the Chicago Bar Association’s Alliance for Women. She is communications co-director of the American Bar Association’s Cyberspace Law Committee. She has authorized an article on privacy and smart meters for the Chicago-Kent Law Review.
